Nostalgic Meets Modern: Xi Classic Jukebox
This retro styled iPod dock is the Xi Classic Jukebox. Despite the 1946 Wurlitzer inspired styling, it incorporates some pretty fancy modern technology for playing your tunes. A 150 watt per channel stereo amp drives a pair of three-way speakers, while the cover art or video info is displayed on the built in LCD screen. This thing is so huge, that your iPod almost gets lost on the front panel. Completing the experience, there's a multi-color LED lighting system that changes its pattern and color to fit the mood of the music.

Titanically Expensive: Titanic-DNA Watch
A Swiss jeweler is offering watches, which have been made from the hull of the doomed Titanic. The metal has been mixed with contemporary shipbuilding steel to make the casing of the timepieces. The black dials have been made by mixing the recovered coal burned in the Titanic’s furnaces with ceramics. The watches dubbed Titanic-DNA will be made in a limited run of 2,012 as a reference to the 100th anniversary of the disaster in five years time. The Titanic watches range in price, from about $8,000US to over $150,000US, depending on the material used, such as steel, silver or gold with diamonds.

Eco-Friendly Timepiece: Quiksilver Ray Watch
Quiksilver is releasing a strange concept watch and, most importantly, it’s an eco-friendly timepiece. The eco-friendliness refers to the fabrication process, which also leaves a carbon footprint.
It does seem to have borrowed Tokyoflash's flare for the unique. I wonder if the design is somehow restricted by the eco-friendly fabrication process.
Check out the video:
In addition, the eco-friendly packaging is shipped by ship rather than by air (saving on CO2 emissions) and is made of largely recyclable materials like wood, stainless steel, aluminum, and mineral glass.
The Ray has a limited run of 1,000 pieces.

Successor to the X9i: Suunto X10 GPS Watch
The Suunto X10 has upgraded GPS performance, which locates your position even faster than the X9i. The improved GPS also tracks better in difficult conditions, such as heavy foliage, for more reliable readings when you need it most. Unlike bulkier, hand-held GPS units, the Suunto X10 is hands-free, so you can focus on the action instead of worrying about dropping or losing your GPS when the going gets tough. The Suunto X10 also records waypoints and routes, allowing users to analyze and catalog trips on a home PC.
The Suunto X10 includes an altimeter, barometer, digital compass, thermometer, and an extensive memory, as well as the usual time/stopwatch functions.
When navigating with the Suunto X10 on a preplanned route it shows you the direction you need to head and the estimated time of arrival. There is the "find home" preset which can lead the user back to the start point marked "Home". In addition you can also use the "track back" function which can guide you back along any recorded route.
Suunto X10 offers a battery life that is 33% longer than that of X9i and it has its own USB charger which can also be used to transfer data.
It will be available in two colors.

The War Is On: Archos Internet Media Tablets versus iPod touch/iPhone
To promote its new Internet Media Tablets, Archos decided to compare the Archos 5 IMT to the iPod touch and the iPhone. Among the arguments highlighted by the French firm are: the Archos 5 screen is twice as large, page load time is reduced, support for Flash 9, more storage space, more formats support; HD output; not to mention the webTV and TV Snap-on plugin modules.
The war has just begun and Archos fully intends to use all the arguments that play to its favor, tackling even the largest brands... But is it enough to change your mind?

"WHY?" reads the blurb on the designers' website.
"No one likes to wake up, especially by an alarm. This clock gently wakes you up with the mouthwatering aroma of bacon, just like waking up on a Sunday morning to the smell of Mom cooking breakfast. Unless you're Jewish."

Self-Winding: Shake MP3 Player
The Shake MP3 player by Kenneth Tay makes use of kinetic energy to keep the batteries charged, similar to modern timepieces. With the hold button switched on, shake it a few times to get the juice. Conversely with the hold switch off, the shaking pauses/plays music.
From the designer: "An electromagnetic coil is connected to the battery, converting kinetic energy into electrical energy that charges the battery.
The player connects to the computer via USB cable through the headphone jack, facilitating the transfer of songs as well as the conventional method of charging."
