Clarion expects to launch its portable navigation device the ClarionMiND (Mobile Internet Navigation Device) running on Atom processor and Linux OS.Adopting a 4.8-inch 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen, the ClarionMiND supports full browser, 4GB of flash memory, wireless LAN, Bluetooth, Google Map, YouTube, and Real Player.
From the Clarion U.S.A site: "MiND will provide an 'always connected' experience and provide users access to navigation, high-speed Internet connection, digital music and videos, hands-free phone connection (via Bluetooth), built-in camera and many other innovative entertainment features. MiND will transform the way people connect with their vehicles."
The ClarionMiND is expected to be available in North America this November and in European market in January, 2009.
