miShare: iPod to iPod Data Transfer

Remember yesterday I mentioned that you could transfer songs wirelessly from Zune to Zune? Well you can transfer songs from iPod to iPod although not wirelessly.
miShare is a pocket Linux box that allows you to connect two iPods to copy songs, photos, videos and any other data you might want to share.

The miShare sees both iPods as USB flash drives. Any standard iPod generation 5 (5G) or older and 1st and 2nd generation Nanos are compatible as long as they have 30-pin connectors. The newest old-style iPods, the classic and nano with Cover Flow in the interface, still work with the device, but a song is saved in the USB disk portion of the iPod, and not in the live song library, so you have to take it home and fiddle with it to get it to play. This problem may be fixed soon though.
